SET Heads Down Under To Give Mum QR A Makeover
PRESS RELEASE

Tokyo based creative agency SET specializes in unique marketing solutions that combine design and technology.
October 7th, 2009 – Tokyo : As part of the rollout for Australian telecom giant Telstra’s new MUM 2.0 campaign, DDB Sydney commissioned SET to produce a branded QR code featuring illustrations from the promotion.
The code was designed to match the look and feel of the MUM 2.0 campaign and will be used as a gateway to draw traffic to the MUM 2.0 website. It will appear in print and outdoor media around Australia.
Greg McMaster, Creative Planner at SET said: “It has always been our goal to create QR codes outside of Japan. We feel honored to have been able to work on such a ground-breaking campaign for Australia and we look forward to doing more with our partners in Sydney to help remake the QR landscape there.”

SET Scores Second Date with Miss Marc
PRESS RELEASE:
Tokyo based creative agency SET specializes in unique marketing solutions that combine design and technology.
As part of promotions for their mobile site’s membership campaign, Marc Jacobs Japan commissioned SET to produce a branded QR code featuring their animated character Miss Marc.
The code was designed to match the look and feel of Miss Marc and has been used to draw traffic to the MARC BY MARC JACOBS mobile website. At the site people can see images of the collection and get the latest news on events and promotions. The QR code was used to promote the site at the recent Kobe Girl’s Collection fashion show where it appeared on postcards handed out to over 14,000 girls.
This is the second collaboration between the iconic brand and SET who created the world’s first hand-drawn QR code for Marc Jacobs earlier this year, also featuring Miss Marc.
Mark Oxley, a spokesman for SET said:
“We were thrilled to have the opportunity to work with the Marc Jacobs brand again. It reinforces our feeling that black & white codes have had their day. Consumers want to be entertained and our designer codes do this, whilst helping to create additional buzz for campaigns”.
The website is viewable only on Japanese mobile phones.

Marc Jacobs Japan used their seasonal magazine as just one medium to announce the launch of their new mobile site here in Japan. Their SET QR code proudly took up the whole of the inside cover allowing for better viewing of the original hand drawn QR design.
The magazine is available all over Japan, and can be found in most convenience stores, and comes in a box set containing a cute MJ shopping bag.
With the Tokyo and Kobe Girls Collection’ shows imminent, a further collaboration with Marc Jacobs Japan and SET will be on show to the public. I’m sure you will see it here ; )

SET produce designer QR Code for Marc Jacobs Japan.

Tokyo based creative agency SET specializes in unique marketing solutions that combine design and technology.
SET has released a new designer QR code produced for MARC BY MARC JACOBS, the diffusion line of world-renowned fashion designer Marc Jacobs. Their latest ground-breaking code was hand-drawn to match the feel of the campaign featuring the brand’s mascot Miss Marc and will be used to generate traffic to the soon-to-be-released MARC BY MARC JACOBS mobile website.
Mark Oxley, a spokesman for SET said:
“Traditional black and white codes can be found everywhere in Japan but they are no longer surprising. To promote their new mobile site Marc Jacobs Japan wanted something special that would be more in line with the brand’s image.
